On August 30, 2021 the 4 R Kids Early Childhood Iowa Area Board and the Quad Counties 4 Kids Early Childhood Iowa Board released a request for proposal application for a “Prenatal Advantage Pilot Program (PAPP)” to interested community partners that have the capacity and connections with the healthcare community (i.e. midwifes, obstetricians, etc) in order to increase referrals of high risk prenatal families into family support programs and to have better birth outcomes. Emailed applications are due October 1, 2021 and hard copies are due October 4, 2021. Refer to the links below for the application guidelines.
The Prenatal Advantage Pilot Program (PAPP) is intended to serve two Early Childhood Iowa area boards and their geographic boundaries. The geographic boundaries of the 4 R Kids ECI Area Board are Adair, Dallas, Madison and Warren County. The geographic boundaries of the Quad Counties 4 Kids ECI Area Board are Adams, Ringgold, Taylor and Union County. The project is to focus on the prenatal population in clinical settings that provides prenatal care and labor and delivery services. The goal of the project is to assess parents on the social determinants of health that may impact their ability to have a healthy birth and prepare to bring their baby home.
The 4 R Kids & Quad Counties 4 Kids Early Childhood Iowa Area Boards will have an informational meeting regarding the request for proposal for a Prenatal Advantage Pilot Program (PAPP). The purpose of the informational meeting is to review the intent of the pilot program and answer questions regarding the request for proposal application. This meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about the Prenatal Advantage Pilot Program. The meeting is September 13, 2021 at 10:00 and will be conducted by ZOOM and the password is PAPP, meeting ID 819 4539 7425.
