FY2026 4 R Kids ECI Programming

Preschool Tuition Assistance (Serving Adair, Dallas, Madison, and Warren County)

This program provides preschool tuition scholarships for children whose families meet income guidelines of up to 225% of the federal poverty level to give children the opportunity to attend preschool. Preschool Enrichment Services (Serving Adair, Dallas, Madison, and Warren County)

This service coordinates all preschool supportive services so children are more prepared for kindergarten. Services are as follows:

  • preschool tuition scholarships for preschool aged children
  • dental screenings for preschool aged children
  • transportation for preschool aged children
  • professional development for preschool staff
  • technical assistance and coordination for preschools and subcontractors of service

Quality Improvement Project (QIP) (Serving Adair, Dallas, Madison, and Warren County)

The Quality Improvement Project is a free program for early childhood providers that are in need of high-level trainings, not offered by CCRR. Infant and early childhood mental health consultation, quality improvement mini grants, personalized support for early care environments and child care staff wage enhancement.  For more information contact ISU Extension at 515-993-4281 or 515-735-5706.

Parents as Teachers (Serving Adair County)

The Parents as Teachers program is an evidence-based early childhood home visiting program that encourages parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting and family well being utilizing four components – personal visits, group connections, screening and resource network. The program is voluntary and serves families with children prenatal to kindergarten entry. For more information contact Southwestern Community College at 641-782-1308.

The Parents as Teachers program is an evidence-based early childhood home visiting program that encourages parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting and family well being utilizing four components – personal visits, group connections, screening, and resource network. New Parent Program (Serving Adair, Dallas, Madison, and Warren County)

The New Parent program is an evidenced-based voluntary intensive in-home visitation program that offers prenatal support and education to women during and after pregnancy and children ages 0-5.  The program reduces the stress associated with the birth of a baby and assists parents in providing children with healthy start in life.  For more information contact Lutheran Services in Iowa at 515-274-4946.

Health Navigation and Coordinated Intake Services (Serving Warren County)

The Health Navigation and Coordinated Intake Program assists families find programs that meet their needs and provide direct support to families to apply for and receive eligible benefits and services. The program is voluntary and serves families beyond ECI’s traditional prenatal through age five population. Families may also receive assistance with housing needs and essential needs.
